This place is a great place to eat in! I advice you to come and try their delicious shawarma's!
Fancy upscale Lebanese restaurant in Maarif, kind of far from most anything, need a cab to get there. But worth it. The food is very well done, all the specialties of Beirut are there, spiced and decorated very well. Hummus has a little heat, surprising. Babaganoush dip is excellent, as is the eggplant. Shawarma is also perfectly done, lightly crispy, not wet with sauce, not oily. And not gigantic (portions very good). WC upstairs works just fine, although hot water and paper towels would be nice (not to be fussy). Service without flaws. Intro bread is very well done, light, crispy, not clumpy. Background music is also nice, not too loud, appropriate. View is nothing; the area is simply a street in a city suburb. Street seating is abundant, covered in plastic to keep out noise, dust and turmoil of the city. Not very effective though. The place is a bit expensive for sure. Consider it a treat.
It should be 5 stars but they removed pay by card, unfortunately!
